So my ps3 got the yellow light of death,,,,
However a friend of a friend can fix it..

Issue is.. on the HDD are some... Images... I dont really want him to see.. What are my options?

Can i wipe the hdd? if so how?

Does the Hdd need to be in the console while it gets repaired? or can i remove it?

Can I put the hdd in a pc or laptop or anything and wipe it that way?

Would a magnet work? (then again the with the modern hdd's their abit more sturdy)

Help?

Uhm, I'd take out HDD and repair it that way. Otherwise you can get a portable HDD and use it until your PS3 is fully repaired so then you can put on the old HDD
