Not necissarily, I've made the mistake of not turning an ip off, so I logged my onto my main while on my abing ip.

Same as what Steve said, I ABed on my main IP for a couple of days before I knew about proxies, now I use a proxy, nothings happend to me

Where were you ABing and how many items did you buy in that time? If you weren't in a risky shop, you might be okay. If you were in Magic though, I'd be worried, especially if you bought anything valuable.

Yeah, I think the only small chance of you getting chain frozen would be if you have gotten many noticeably rare items. But if that's not the case, TNT will probably overlook it.

Ummm..... I never knew about turning off anything (I really don't even understand, lol) and I have been using a ABer for 2 months now on my main

qu4k3, if you AB on your main, it's fine to use your own IP. If you get frozen on it, a proxy won't save you. The only reason you'd want proxies is to avoid chain freezing if you AB on a separate account from your main.

You'll be fine as long as you do not do anything super suspicious like transfer LARGE amounts of NP around.

If you are flagged and someone is looking into the possibility of you autobuying, they will see the duplicate IPs and chain ice you.
A marital affairs analogy:
If you arrive home 40 minutes late because you were cheating on your wife, and say you were with the lads. Only if she thinks you're cheating will she check if you were with the lads xD
