I'm big on making my own lookups, and I've made a couple for people here too.
I found that my biggest issue was finding decent sized images of the Neopets themselves, specifically the UnConverteds.
I finally started collecting some images and made the decision today that I'd compile them and share with others here at Neocodex, I'm positive I'm not alone in making lookups.

All images have a white background, but if you are adept at using Photoshop or almost any other graphics program you already know how to remedy that :)


The download is a RAR file and it's contents are:

Wow, looks like a Unicorn farted on the thread :o

Anyway, there will be many more items to come as I have images taken from the SWF's for NC Mall items too!

As promised it is Friday and I have completed this collection for you all~
I've merged all the folders together and re-uploaded it to Mediafire.

Sorry if you have to download them all again, but I figured it was easier this way for people finding the thread for the first time, plus it beats having two download links.

I really like the look of your work. Very tasteful and simple designs.

Pet image database is a fantastic resource for any designer :]

I didn't use an extractor, I did it a long and tedious way x_x
When I've gotten the rest of the images today I'll get to writing a guide on how I got these and some of my other stock :)

I use FlashResizer to get Neopets (and any other flash stock)

Just go to http://newimpress.openneo.net/ and choose the desired neopet or neopet with desired clothing, click on get preview (on the upper right ) and visit the link.

Then turn on FlashResizer (FF addon) and drag the green handle to make the flash picture bigger. (you can do this as much as you want)

(sometimes you'll even notice small errors in the neopets :p I believe that the Neo graphics' staff use the color red for the rough sketch, it shows up in some places. xD)

btw, you can then just take a screenshot and save the image.

P.S. For just finding normal Neopets images, I use http://DrSloth.com

Does that program let you save each part of the image like say if the neopet is wearing a top or something? Or does it just let you save the entire image if you get what I mean?

The program just lets you resize the entire flash window, so you can take a screenshot of it at a larger size. Pulling out just a shirt would require you to either edit the screenshot, or use a flash decompiler.

@IcedEarth: You can't resize single items at Dress to impress. Though I think flash previews at sunnyneo & also pet lookups allowed that. (I did that a while ago, but I don't exactly remember)

Ah okay so that's what a flash decomplier does.

Flash is resolution independant I think, so no matter how large you make it the quality remains the same right?

Weird, each time I download them and save the files, it says I can't use/open them because there is an error.

O_o They are downloading and extracting fine for me, can anyone else give me a little feedback on it too? Thank you :)

Are you using winzip or winrar?
I've just had my husband check the link, download and extract the files while he is at work and he's saying there is no issue with it.
