You're right. You don't write as well as you think you do.

What do you do for a living?

Environmental Engineering, Air Quality, Title V and PSD. I also farm some, sell some timber, ginseng, a weed or two.

I know that story is rough, and I don't know if I even have the cerebellar tissue left to write any more. I did have some success in my youth.

I didn't even know you had an interest in traditional Native American medical herbs, or are you talking about the other kind of weed?

You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

This is the too long, do not read version.

You do realize, that is one of the most hurtful things you can do to an author. A person would have to be awfully cruel, incredibly cruel, or completely lacking the common sense that god gave a goose.

No, getting published and reprinted in two anthologies makes an author.
Been there, done that. Maeghan, I only mean my short story in work. Forgive me if my fragile ego vainly seeks praise.

P.S. Still love your style.

If your ego is so fragile,
perhaps writing isn't a good career path.

Wouldn't want to crush your spirit.

All authors are fragile, I was at a convention with Isaac friggen Asimov, and in the writers room he was complaining about not being appreciate, about the younger generation not getting his stuff, liking the new wave too much. Aiyee, Aiyee, Asimov wrote everything about everything, and did it all well.
P.S. LOVE the new picture, shows off your intense eyes even better than the last one.

But not phenotypically?

This was by far my favorite post in this thread.

P.s. I enjoyed the frog story. I don't have time to finish reading about the river to hell now. :p

"It is with books as with men; a very small number play a great part"

Don't you think you're time is better off working on your next great book,
than dicking around on a neopets site? :/

You write these overdrawn responses, which hardly anyone ever reads through. Whats the point if no ones going to take the time to get your point? When they just skim over it without taking the time to appreciate any message you're trying to say, or without noticing the way the words dance?

No, we read them. We don't read his long ass posts when they become a wall of text. What we don't like is having this shit shoved down our throats like we're 5.

Cause I'm scared as hell that too much of me died with the heart attack, I'm scared to acknowledge I can even do that any more. So I screw around with children rather than face my own fear and try and fail. Now, that is irony, trying to do a story that revolves around the hero having to understand that the only way love or live, is to give your GDamn all, no regret, no hedging, no reserve. Yet here I am wasting my years.

You read it? If its more then 5 lines, I just skip it.

It's like a youtube video. If it's more then 3 minutes. It's a waste of my time and likely not very entertaining.

You're missing out on some great long-format shows.
