I think you're mixing up episodes.I LOVE the ones where CHANG took over the Community college with a fake dean and his army of fanatical pre-adolescent storm troopers. Even I couldn't think that crap up.
The stormtroopers are from the Western/Star Wars paintball war(the second one).

I don't understand why they did a second paintball episode. I think that was the point when Community jumped the shark for me.

Now I really disagree. Community is almost like experimental theatre, they try strange and unconvential things. The second paintball cycle was almost like they were trying a different variation to explore the full depth of the scenario, not just a rehash of a previously successful show.I don't understand why they did a second paintball episode. I liked the Ken Burn's parody of the Great Pillow fight, and when they were inside the video game.
