I find it deeply disturbing when people use cutesy words for adult concepts.

Don't mutilate yourself because of "them".

I'm more disturbed about haircuts being considered mutilation. I have images of screaming pubes now.

Didn't the article itself talk about the small wounds and damaged caused by shaving such a sensitive place? So, mutilation was a bit of a rhetoric device.

As far as using "cutsy" words, the article did talk about children hardly older than my daughter, getting shaved. I'm pissed at the thought of children shaving. It is sick.

I'm over reacting myself, as there are children my daughter's age that are doing things like that now, and it just bothers the crap out of me. Children should be children.

Sweeney, if you ever get to that stage, you might understand. Hope you make it. {:)

My friend actually was able to buy a kit to dye her pubic hair. She dyed them purple, I thought it was pretty cool.

What people come out with.

Does that stretch to pubescent boys, as well? Or it is just the thought of your daughter's vagina that's getting you all hot and bothered?

Sweeney, if you ever get to that stage, you might understand.

I've been caring for children since before you had a daughter.

What purpose would a pubescent boy have to shave his crotch?

Pubescent boys start growing beards. They shave those. They cut their faces.
And plenty of men groom their genitals also, although I freely admit there is nothing like the same societal pressure there.

I don't know how it's escaped your attention that people are stupid.

Yeah, I got the face thing. And I know about older men grooming things. I'm not male; I was just curious about younger men doing it.

In prison guys use some shit called magic shave to remove pubic hair... nothing is weirder then walking into the showers with some fucking kid completely naked with white shit all over his privates. And then the weird look they give when they try and explain what they're doing.

Another funny experience was this guy magic shaving his head bald. You need to let it sit for twenty minutes so it properly burns all the hair off... 8 minutes in we get called for visits and his name was one of them.... maannn the look on his familys faces when they saw his hair with bald spots every two inches like a crazed mad man.

I've had laser hair removal almost everywhere; including my vag. Not for the benefit of anyone but myself really. I hate body hair on women. Its completely a matter of personal choice, and this article is just one professional expressing their opinion.

No, not personal choice. There is a reason why people think, that your flesh and fur as created, are somehow worthy of hate. Why do you dislike what you were born with, why do you feel this social pressure to look like a little girl.

I'm sorry, my daughter has already noticed that several of the larger girls on her swim team shave their twas. This is not "peer" pressure that I care much for, not do I think its a very healthy mental trend this women looking like a child.
