Hey guys I need some help setting up surround sound.. I have 4 HDMI cables and I need to connect the surround sound to my tv, hdmi pvr, ps3 and apple tv.. I have no idea what I should connect to what. The surround sound has 3 hdmi slots, the tv has 4 hdmi slots.. If anyone knows the simplest way to hook them all up so the surround sound would work with all 3, that'd be awesome!

I think (although I'm far from an expert) that you should hook up your tv to your surround sound system and have your ps3 and apple tv hooked up to your tv. Thus any sound that would be played through your tv would be outputted to your sound system.

That's how I have it now, not working though

Did you make sure that your sound system is on the right channel? Like.. your tv is hooked up to HDMI port 1 on your system, did you make sure to select port 1?

Yes but then I wouldn't get video I don't think.. unless I send an hdmi cable from my pvr to receiver? I'll try that.. thanks for help!

After using my good friend google I found out I have to connect everything through the surround sound then one cable from surround sound to tv.. unfortunately that's still not working

Got it to work! Had to change some setting on the surround sound -.- thanks for help!
