Today I had a magnificent slice of apple pie, but it was served with frozen yogurt posing as ice cream. It was obscene and I almost cried.

Cake ONLY if it's of the ice cream variety. I'm not really one for sweets.

I recently looked up how to make banoffee pie, which is not a thing here in the States, and made one for myself.

Oh my god.

Was this discussed here on the forum at some point? It sounds awfully familiar, and I've definitely never had it. Also sounds delicious.

We made a banoffee drink when he was here, I think I mentioned it somewhere. Is that it?

Neither, none, nada.Sweets are not my thing. Well... except maybe cookies. Even as a child I hated cake, and my birthday "cakes" were either brownies or those giant cookie things you see in shopping malls etc.

The cheesecake thing swayed me. I like non-sweet cakes, like with cream cheese frosting like a red velvet. I went with cakes because my enjoyment of pie depends a lot on whether there is ice cream with it, which gives the pie unfair advantage.

Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie beat 90% of cakes. Shepherd's Pie is amazing. However, Apple Pie is so nauseating that I'm tempted to vote cake just for that...

Pie is better :). Less "full", and less nasty. I could get down on apple or pumpkin pie all day! :p
