As we get older, that once loving passion of going out and getting loads of candy starts dying out... Unless that is you never really celebrated Halloween, BUT ANYWAYS THAT'S NOT MY POINT HERE

Do most of the users here go out and gather their delicious candy? Or have you grown outta that phase in life and decided "I'm too old for this?"

What makes you decide when they're too old or not?

I don't have to, the lady I stay with buys tons of candy, and when it doesn't get given out, it comes to me.

I'm actually pretty small for my age so I can blend in with the high school students and stealthily trick or treat with them, that is, if I still wanted to.

Being in college, most of my friends go after shots than snickers, but I'm fortunate to have friends who actually went trick or treating with me last year. This year, we decided not to since we put so much time into the Haunted House at the local Boy's and Girl's club that we'd decided to spend our Halloween Weekend there. I'm leaving in about an hour to go there.

The only reason I stopped was because I worked one Halloween, and then moved to college for the next Halloween. I still wanna go trick-or-treating, though :(

Last year a total of 0 kids came to my door, but I guess the people at the pub across the street and next door might have put them off!! :p

Not that Im too old for trick or treating its just that I found hanging out with friends to be more fun and amusing.

If I could trick or treat for shots then hell yeah I would do it every year!

Oh my god, I was expecting you guys to be

"LOL YOU STILL TRICKORTREET?" and belittle me! But good! It's good to see that some people no matter what age still go out and participate in events like these

That ain't fair! It's sounds like she gives you the whole entire bag! But wouldn't it still be fun if you go out and stalk people with really good candy choices?

"stealthily" lmao you make this seem like some top secret mission, or some metal gear solid game. The haunted house sounds really fun, the one at my high school is really crappy. But hey, it's the effort and thought that counts no? I hope your efforts pay off.

YEAH SAME, I mean I love it this really Shi- I mean, sucky apartment complex which mostly old people live in, so I never get to go out and ask for sweets

I stopped when I was 19 and pregnant. Some fat cow told me if I was old enough to get knocked up, then I was too old to beg for candy. It all worked out though cause the next year I had a kid too small to eat the candy, but too cute for people to refuse our begging.

Oh she pretty much does, last year I had the collection under my bed for months while I worked away at it.

And it'll be too cold to bother to go out and get more candy.

I stopped when I was 18. I didn't really make a point to stop I just always ended up making other plans. When I was 18 me and all my college friends took our friend Eboni trick or treating even though she was 30. She had never been trick or treating before because her dad is a pastor and wouldn't let her, so we took her.

Too old, no time.

I usually just 'siphon' the candy my younger brother brings home without him noticing.

People come trick or treating to my place, so I stock up on sweets and chocolates, carve a bunch of pumpkins and dress up for them to come visiting.

I don't anymore, sadly. While I love asking for candy as much as the next person, October is usually, a very busy month for me, and all the time I have is very valuable most of the time. Not to mention, we are currently living in an apartment that's in a not so safe neighborhood while we are house hunting, that I wouldn't really want to go walking out in the night knocking on who know's door asking for candy.

I don't think anyone's necessarily "too old" to go trick or treating. But that said, I haven't done anything for Halloween other than answer the door and distribute candy to visitors for several years.

This year is only slightly different. I bought a few pumpkins to carve, mostly because I like to eat the seeds.

I know no one who actually trick or treats except little kids, and even then it's organised, in a way. Like for condos, there's a sign up sheet and you're only allowed to go to those houses who sign up for trick and treating. It's not a very big aspect of the culture here.
