Based on my observations, this is what TNT MIGHT have used as a criteria:

0-50% wins = Bronze

51-74% wins = Silver

75%+ = Gold

Avatar is awarded to everyone who fought and won at least once.

TNT released new abilities, you can use the bottled faeries to get "points" and use those "points" to train abilities.

You can only train ONE ability PER TIER!

I wonder if your trophy changes if your percentage goes up/down.

Aethia's Ability Academy! (BETA) - Aethia has opened shop
and is now ready to teach your Neopets a plethora of new abilities for
use in the Battledome... if you're strong enough! Some things to note:

    

• How does the new system work? In short, open new bottles to
  receive blessings and then use those blessings to train the abilities
  available to your Neopet based on their level. You can train one ability
  per tier! Any ability you train can be used during a fight using the
  new slot next to your weapons. Visit the Ability Academy to check it out.
• You may start finding stronger bottles that give out more blessings!
• The new ability system, just like the new Battledome, is in
  beta! Please report any bugs or irregularities! We may also need to
  change certain abilities or their blessing costs based on fight data and
  your feedback, to make sure things are balanced. If we change anything,
  we'll let you know!
• Old abilities are no more! If you had any of them, please be sure to visit the Battledome,
  where you will be compensated for your loss. Veteran Battledomers will
  also receive a trophy to commemorate the old Battledome. *moment of
  silence*

There's more to learn, but that's the gist. The tutorial and
Battledome FAQs will be updated as we work out the kinks. We hope you

Weird. I didnt even get a trophy just 50k+ NP.

Fuck I read that wrong. I didnt even do the old BD on my new main. It was down when I came back.

Gold Trophy. I expected no less. There should of been platinum trophies for people with 10k+ wins =P

It's based off of total wins, not percentages.

I have over 75% and didn't get gold

 

Pretty sure 100 wins or more = Gold

 

 

At first I was all 'no that's bullshit, I got gold and I never battle', but lul, just checked and I have 101 wins xD

You can have only one active but you can change it later.

However I believe you will lose the points you spent.

I got a gold trophy, but I am almost certain I did not battle 100 times in the old battledome. I never liked it, and would only battle for a few avatars. Is there a link I can go to, to find out my old BD stats?

I don't think they've merged the old and new stats yet, but I just went to the lookup of my BD pet to see the wins.

Ahh, I can't tell because the pet that I used for the old BD I adopted out. So their stats are apparently reset(just looked).

 

I just think 100+ is an awful small number for anyone to get the top trophy. I can't complain, a trophy is a trophy, but to all those that do actually enjoy the battling, and do it often, it's basically a slap in the face kinda. lol!

It should say on your UL how many BD wins you have.

 

How did I miss that! lol! Yeah, looks like I did battle over 100 times.

Agreed, you guys need bigger trophies.

I think they originally intended the trophies to be something like this:

 

0-1999 wins = Bronze

2001-9999 = Silver

10000+ = Gold

 

They had 3 test accounts which had the same win percentage or close to each other but different win counts and different trophies.

I thought they were stopping the release of the old bottled faeries, but apparently you can still get them from the Deserted Tomb in Geraptiku.
