Personally I see it as a sensible way to prevent people from using impersonation to scam others. They have a lot of younger members who actually need that kind of protection.

Personally speaking if you're knowledgeable enough to know such a person exists but falls for the most minor scamming trick there's nothing much to say about it

Featheralley is a trusted and well-known member of the Neopets community.
Impersonators can be dangerous for the younger/more naive members. Just the same as impersonating staff is against the rules on Neo.
Aside from trolling, one of the most common reasons to impersonate staff or well-known members is to scam. I'd freeze someone who signed up with malicious intent too.

 

Then why not block the original creation of the username or send the user an email explaining why they got frozen. I'm not disputing the need for protecting accounts. I'm commenting on how piss-poor the treatment of a potentially new user is.
