I think its a reflector, I can't remember where I read that though, but I'm still trying to find specifics as well :)

The best place to keep an eye on is the Battlepedia.

I by far prefer jn's battlepedia for looks and quickly updating although tdn does have better reviews.. http://battlepedia.j...wweapon&id=3744

Also note: It stinks, like the poo it should be used for scooping.

Is it effective?

I like to think that it is, since I haven't seen any rodent skeletons emerge.

from what ive heard, it reflects 50% earth back as fire...so overall a very very situational at best weapon and a terrible "top" prize imo, jar of brains is much more useful (and costs less). Also, i prefer Sunnyneos Battlepedia to JNs. I like that they have a top 50 weapons list (even though its not entirely accurate and not always updated) that show healers, reflectors, dual duty, overall, etc. Its not perfect but it gives you a general idea about whats worth considering

I've tested and can confirm that it does as jellyneo states: http://battlepedia.j...wweapon&id=3744

The Shovel blocks 100% of fire damage dealt to you if earth damage is received.

The Shovel multiplies the amount of earth attack sent by 142.5% and deals this to your pet.

The Shovel then reflects 57.5% of the Original earth damage you received as fire damage to your combatant.
