It's been a few months since I was last moderately active and I recognize very few people on the forums anymore.

 

My question is for members who've been here for the last 4 or 5 years. With all your old friends leaving, what's keeping you here?

Feels like that the end of the summer feel when all your friends are gone back home, or back to their usual lives, and things get slow and quiet.

I have been coming here for a while, I don't play Neo much anymore but I always check in every now and then to see what's new.

I am not a super active member but I have been here for a long time. Honestly even though the people who brought me here are gone I still enjoy the company of the people here. Quiet or not we are still a much better community than most program forums.

Oh hey I'm hitting my 4 year anniversary next month.

I can't say I come back for the long lasting friendships I've developed here because I've only made one, and we mainly talk off site when given the chance. It's mostly become a routine and a way to spend my time. It's on my bookmark bar so I never forget to visit constantly, and if I'm lucky there's something interesting happening every couple months.

I do participate in the Neopets events and contribute somewhat to discussions, but since my Neopets activity has been wavering for a couple years now there isn't much I've actually contributed lately.

Have you been fruitful in your endeavors?

It's part of my routine when I come home from work or when I wake up. I click the middle mouse button on a few bookmarks to create tabs and I read what's been posted. I've made a lot of good friends here and we talk offsite via facebook, texting or TC.

 

Coming up on my 8th year mark in August..

I come here everyday because yall crack me up. I wish I played Neopets so I knew what the hell was going on so I could make snide comments in the Neopets threads like old times, but I really have no fucking idea what's happening on Neopets. This is the only forum I frequent, so I have no one else to talk to about Game of Thrones, or Arrested Development.
