♥ Love Poem for a Neocodex Member Contest ♥

Entries due: Sometime early on Friday May 17th.

Voting begins: Sometime after 'early' on Friday May 17th.
Voting ends: Sunday May 19th (after Game of Thrones)
Winners will be announced shortly thereafter.

How it works:

You write a poem, an ode, a series of haikus, a limerick, etc. dedicated to or inspired by a fellow Neocodex member.

You may enter up to 3 different poems, but only if they are each about separate members.

All poems should be PMed to punkrockbigmouth. Do not post your poems in this thread.

Throughout the week, the poems will be judged by staff members.

10 finalists poems will be chosen.

We will be looking for beauty, creativity, descriptive use of language, humor and wit, rhyme and meter, and just overall artistic quality. The finalist poems will be posted without the name of the author for an unbiased vote in a public poll.
 
When voting is over, the winners will be listed in order of popularity, and prizes will be chosen accordingly.
 
When all is said and done, all poems will be featured in a Blog entry for all to enjoy. 

Tips:
~You may not vote for your entry, even if you think yours is the best. Sorry.

An ode to People (in general), the color pink, the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, vegetarians (in general), Doctor's Handwriting, smelly old people, prescription insurance companies, racists, and impatience

Oh humans who are a threat to the human race,
Rejoice and sing as there is a new case!
Pink is back in style as far as the Jonas Brothers are concerned,
So Taylor Swift can contemplate all her boyfriends she earned.

While smelly old people frolic in the grass,
Vegetarians stop to yell at dogs for being carnivores but alas:
Thus begins the long journey of forgiveness.
Forgiveness of having Doctor's handwriting in all seriousness.

As this ode trots to a close,
Prescription insurance companies start to propose.
Meanwhile the impatient racists are waiting in the sun
For punk to enthusiastically tell me I won.
