On July 16th, 2013 it was published that the famous T. Rex was in fact a hunter/predator and not a scavenger as has been thought for many years.
 

 
This evidence has emerged based on re-examining the tooth structure of the king of dinosaurs and it has been stated that the shape and style of the teeth provide 'smoking gun' evidence that the extinct reptile did not scavenge for food but instead hunted actively for it.
