The touchpad and touchpad buttons on my other laptop is not working. I opened it up for dust cleaning not sure if that is what caused it. Any solutions?

The drivers aren't corrupted/have been uninstalled somehow? Is it definitely something physical?

I'm not sure of exact problem that caused that but usually I would send for repair for these issues. They would usually replace the touchpad or redo some wiring.

Well, I fixed it after 2 hours... the ribbon for the touchpad came off when I took the top off to clean the fan.

If the case really is a hardware problem as you've stated, there is little we can do to help you out. How about mailing your notebook to the nearest maintenance service? If the warranty still covers it, you might be able to get it repaired for free.
