Yeah, that was already posted in here, I think. I was hoping for something magical that involved less thought.
I posted something along the same lines. But you are right that the mathematical way of solving it requires you to pay more attention, and if your attention falters and you count wrongly, you might not necessarily save any time (as I found out on the last day when I had to re-check every single column to see where I made an error)...
