I like getting socks! I'm always losing the darn things.

Daniel happens to prefer socks over other shit for Christmas.
What is better than a fresh, new, pair of socks for your footsies? NOTHING.

DON'T BE SUCH A GRINCH!

Ahh. I do not yet recognise this candy... because Hershey's chocolate is fucking disgusting.

It is, but it's cheap, melts ok, and looks cute on pretzels with m&m's shoved in them.

Nothing is better. Especially if you wanna slide around in 'em.

Our Christmas Eve traditions are:

  • Steak and lobster dinner.
  • I get to open one present.
  • The whole family watches It's A Wonderful Life

This year continued the tradition of us having the extended family around at ours for bbq bacon and eggs for breakfast (my parents and sister), then for lunch, the missus' side of the family came and we had a fantastic roast lamb/turkey with veg. Now for dinner, we're alone with just myself, the missus and two boys nomming on THE BEST steak ever!

Spoiler

Oh and of course, gifts galore! The boys had a wonderful Christmas morning opening their 'Santa Sacks' full of presents and Jayson (my eldest) got his long-awaited Force FX Lightsabre xD

I got some weird logic puzzle that I will most likely attempt once and not touch again lol (brain hurts just thinking about it).

Copious amounts of alcohol to go towards our New Year celebrations in the next week too :)

Christmas Eve is a special occasion. We also have ahi tuna, but I just stick with the steak and potatoes.

We don't have any traditions for Christmas.  We don't even put up a Christmas tree anymore. :\

My mother is trying to make it a "tradition" that I bake cookies on Christmas.

I do nothing on December 25th.

In the past, I have hung out with my Jewish friends and ate chinese food and gone to the movies with them :).

My family celebrates on the 24. :)

The day starts off with cinnamon buns, follow by my grandparents hiring a Santa to come to the house and all the grandkids sit on his lap and get one gift. Mainly to occupy us until we open gifts later. We then all get ready for church. Supper time!!! We used to have Cornish Game Hen and all the fixings. Now my Grandma makes her idea of what chinese food is (it is so not chinese food....) Now that supper is done, we head to mass. Once we get back from Mass 'Santa' has come and there are loads of gifts under the tree, stockings are filled etc. Following gift opening we have midnight lunch with spinach dip, cookies, pizza bagels, chicken wings etc.

I long for the day where I get to spend Christmas in the mountains snowboarding.

We wont be doing anything for the 25th this year either @Padme. Jay and I thought he'd be home tonight but now it's looking like he will be home the 28th. and thats okay, because our girls are still young enough that I can pretend Christmas is 3 days later and they wont notice :)
