Wow!! Grats, all I got from going on hiatus is a few things that were now rare that I could sell, hardly worth it lol!

I love going on hiatus, though for me with the stock market, I typically just log in, buy 1,000 shares each day and just leave it. Not big on keeping a close eye on it.

Yeah, good thing about stock market in Neopets is that it will never crash so you will definitely profit if you keep the stocks long enough.

I wouldn't say never, there have been a few stocks that have crashed. It's extremely rare. So rare in fact that you probably shouldn't even worry about it. As long as you diversify, any losses incurred due to a bankruptcy will be negligible compared to the profit being made by the other stocks.

HAKA – October 10th, 2000.
BBBB – February 4th, 2002.
SILL – February 4th, 2002.
TEFV – February 4th, 2002.
NTV – February 7th, 2002.
KATE – November 7th, 2002.
FUZZ – June 20th, 2003.
BODA – July 9th, 2003.

They've actually retired that, no stock should ever crash again.

You are right, the shouldn't ever crash again, and I truly hope it stays that way, but as we know with Viacom they may change their mind years down the road as staff change or to balance out the economy a wee bit.

Well, it's not all that bad if they reincorporated stock crashes. Right now it's all profit, no risk at all. Just patience.

Yeah, it's actually also better to remove the 1000 shares per day limit, then the price can be fully determined by market, making it more like real stock market.

At the end of the day though, TNT sucks ass on these things.

I think the limit is there so people don't make too much from the stock market. Even with the current limit, I hear some people do the stock market daily first when they get on neo.

If it's free market, I doubt everyone would dare to invest in stocks as you may lose everything if you are not careful enough.

It's the same way in the real world.
