Welcome to the first voting portion of the Neocodex Userbar Contest! Below are the submissions I received by the deadline exactly as I received them, so please don't complain to me about the quality of the image or that I should have been consistent with how they were presented. I considered this but ultimately how the contestant chose to submit the entries was up to them. Some sent individual urls, some sent an image of them all together. 

How this will work: Since the winning entry WILL be used on the site, we have changed up the voting process a bit.

  • -You will vote for your favourite THREE entries. If a person votes more than three times, your votes will NOT BE COUNTED, so please do not attempt to cheat. You can vote less than three times. Just no more than three. 
  • -No voting for yourself, this will result in your votes being removed as well.
  • -Do not campaign for votes in any way, shape, or form. This is anonymous, just like the SOTW contest and if you tell people which entry is yours, that may create a biased vote.
  • -Once we have the final three, the staff will award those people accordingly (1st, 2nd, 3rd) but, ultimately the staff will also decide which entry of the three winners will be used on the forum. This does not affect the prizes.

    VOTING WILL END ON JANUARY 14 AT 4PM NST

I picked my top three, but #5 is my favorite by far.

No! Sorry I should have specified that, I'll edit my post. 
You can vote for one, two, or three entries, but no more than that. 
Though I encourage you to at least vote for two so we can award prizes appropriately. 


I picked my top three, but #5 is my favorite by far.

My favorite is #1 because it's closer to our current set and the animations are subtle. But #5 was my third pick :p
I find it super flashy but individually it might not look at bad at all.

I like the userbars :) the first one is my favorite

Edit: I agree with Trichomes. For me they also looked too flashy, but individually they probably look a lot better. So #5 is also one of my favorites :)

I agree that #1 is similar to our current set, but I'm not a huge fan of the shape and they look slightly fuzzier to me. Without trying to offend anyone, I feel like #1 is the downgraded version of what we already have. Still, I think it's one of the nicer sets.

 

I do feel like the animations in #5 are a bit much when you look at all of the userbars as a set, but I don't think they'd be as flashy individually. The colors are also more subdued, and the quality/clarity is superior to most of the other sets. They'd probably still be my favorite even if they weren't animated.

That's unfortunately not possible as there are new titles being added and IcedEarth has been busy moving.

This is as far as I got with them, before I fine-tuned the colours and added the animation that I wanted.

You should have got your priorities right and put the wedding back a week or so to give you time to finish them. :p

You should have got your priorities right and put the wedding back a week or so to give you time to finish them. :p


I probably would have finished them this week, if I'd had my laptop at home and the girl's hadn't had school cancelled for the first three days :p

I voted #1, #5, and #7...#1 and #5 are my favorites though (I'm actually torn between #1 and #5 as my favorite).

Number 1 is a bit too bright and happy for my taste.

5 is cool but...too busy.
