I started watching it just today! And so far I like it a lot (2 episodes only). I couldn't laugh too much in the first episode, I was too sad because of her hahaha

Binge-watched season 2 in a night and a day and now I'm sad.

 

In hindsight definitely should have rationed them out but I have 0 willpower so nevermind.

Loved:

- Suzanne's whole arc this season. It was brilliant and heart-breaking. When she was talking to that mop in the warehouse I was creasing up and when she was sobbing at the end holding her uno cards so was I - the actress who plays her has amazing range. And Vee's manipulation of her made my blood boil, like suz is so vulnerable and you make her feel included and special and loved and then you SHIt ALL OVER HER Vee deserved way worse than a moving vehicle to the body (multiple slockings if you ask me)

 

- Poussey's back story. Loved the character already but it added some great depth. Nice surprise that her dad was actually supportive of her relationship

 

- Morello is FUCKING NUTS. Actually didn't see it coming that she had only been on one date with the infamous Christopher. Also attempted a car bomb! Insane, loved it. 

 

- Mendez's return scene. Mendez is back, bitches

 

- Caputo nailed it this season. Oh my god that last episode "It's my second day." Poor capu. Hopefully he stays in charge at least for a little while into S3 hes fucking hilarious ("They used to call me beer can in high school)

  

- Piper was not the world's most self-involved woman this season (for the most part)

 

- Miss Rosa. What a badass motherfucker. You sniff that cash rosa, sniff it good.

 

-Unlikely Pennsatucky/Healy friendship. I want Safe Place cookies. 

 

Blergh:

 

- Larry and Polly. These two make me feel icky whenever they're on screen together. Do not like.

 

- Mendez wasn't in it for long enough ALSO I feel like they've redeemed him a little too fast. How has Daya forgotten he basically fucking killed Tricia? And traded blowjobs for drugs? And she wants Bennett to be MORE like him?!

 

- Vee. I just couldn't like her in any sense, even as the villain. For example I think Fig is a fucking bitch but I still enjoy her character. Vee I did not enjoy at all. I know a lot of people did though so fair enough.

 

- Daya. The whole wanting Bennett to confess and go to jail thing really pissed me off. How does she expect a convicted felon to be able to support them as a family? Urghhhh.

 

Overall though I really really loved S2, now for the long, painful wait (filled with many re-watchings of s1 and 2) until season 3

I agree with pretty much all you said. I also binge watched in a day and a half and now am mad I have to wait a year. I'll probably re-watch it again slowly and see if I pick up on anything I may have missed.

Eh, I thought there was a good balance of humor. And I liked how Red (and Morello) were portrayed as much more flawed, it made their characters much more interesting to me.

I also kind of regret binge-watching season 2 because now I have nothing to look forward to. It was so good, though, and I agree with pretty much everything you said.

I thought the first season was a lot funner, but I enjoyed this season because it had so much more character development.
