Voting Starts:  NOW!!!

Voting Ends:  February 13, 2014 (7:00 PM NST)

"A Day in the Life of [insert a fellow Codexian's username here]"

(Instructions for the entries and prizes are shown in this thread)

VOTING CRITERIA:

1)  Voters should take into consideration whether the selected Codexian is worthy of spending the time to have a read-over an entry about them (as in, someone who is never present or known of by only a handful of individuals wouldn't necessarily make for an interesting subject).

2)  Regardless of how many entries are in the running, you cannot vote for yourself (sorry!).

3)  If necessary, a 3-day tiebreaker will follow to resolve disputes at the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position.

MEET THE FIVE ENTRIES:

Entry #1:

"A Day in the Life of Turnip"

Spoiler

Entry #2:

"A Day in the Life of Strategist"

Spoiler

Entry #3:

"A Day in the Life of Strategist"

Spoiler

Entry #4:

"A Day in the Life of Kordelia"

I'm in love how #4 is written in a movie script style. You got my vote. Great content aside the script was really easy to read and visualize.

I wish I submitted something. In the end, I couldn't pull off a decent hilarious entry without it being too offensive =/ Next time definitely.

Some interesting entries :) Also for the record, I don't even use hair gel... lol

Also, I know who #4 is, it's too obvious... (but well done)

I was really impressed by the diversity of the entries, especially with this being the first contest, getting five entries submitted really pleased me with this challenge.

Well crap...sorry Drakonid.

I don't intend to throw it out, especially as this is the first contest. As the contest host, I'm going to suspend the rule for the entry, unless you or a gang plans to don riot gear and destroy the site in a fit of rage. Just let me know. ;)

I think it's fair enough on this occasion.

I just don't see the point in making rules if you're just going to go "Eh, whatever" when someone breaks it. And it's not like the entry is only a few words over the limit...

It's also not like a contest like this has been run before: there will thus be a bit of "learn as we go" accompanying development and implementation of entry rules. For example, I now know to at least double or triple the word limit. :p

I think it's fair enough on this occasion.

Thanks...again, this isn't something that will happen every time the contest is run; first runs of a new concept sometimes have their kinks though. It'll be worked out better next time. :)

#1 mmkay..

#2 there are 2 poems about strat but this is the better one, methinks. great play on words. me likey. ^_^

#3 i don't get the first line? the second and third are pretty clever. :D

#4 i LOVE this! it exceeds the word-limit by 63 words but i can't think of anything to erase. there are some references that i don't quite follow, though.

#5 this is more readable than #4 format-wise and it's a pretty sweet piece but it has too many big words that i don't get lol. but, good job!

well actually, to put things into perspective, #4 has almost the same number of words as #1, #2, #3 and #5 combined. :o

Don't be "that guy".

QFT.

As for Entry #5, well ... It's definitely an interesting read. Whoever it is has a very vivid imagination, but in the end did a pretty good job of figuring me out.

All your life, I imagine.
It's true. Drakonid spends his days double checking the pixel widths on everyone's signatures.

#3 has such a simplicity to it that I really like. So I'm voting for that one.

#4 is so action packed! But I agree with Pilot, whoever wrote that should be ashamed. I can't WAIT until the authors are unveiled so I can throw stones at this particular offender. I will not cast my vote for someone who has such disregard for the rules, which are the only things that stand between us and chaos. *spits on the ground*

#5 is like reading Nathaniel Hawthorne. I personally hate Nathaniel Hawthorne.

I liked the first one about Strat a lot. The play on words was awesome buuuut I'm choosing the movie script because these always tickle my fancy.
