I don't get it. Is it just bread with fries in the middle? o.o

That's exactly what I said. She doesn't seem to understand my lack of appreciation for it.

Y-you Canadians just don't understand how delicious and amazing it is!!! Nothing wrong with simple but good food i-is there!! 。・゚・(ノД`)・゚・。

Someone else missing the point of low brow ;)

Plain white bread though? There's a difference between eating oil & vinegar on some nice Italian bread vs eating the same thing on a slice of Wonder bread.

But it's a carb sandwich with carbs. It's basically deep fried carbs wrapped with carbs.

At least the KFC meat sandwich had breading.

this is served at most Italian restaurants around here.

Really? Ohh I guess if you cut the bread and did it up nicely..usually when I eat it I just spread everything on the bread with a knife, not very classy at all haha xD

Isn't chips on a bun a common thing in the uk? My dad eats it from time to time and he's got no shame about it  :lol2:

& Today I bought canned octopus. I plan to eat it straight from the can. I don't know why really, but octopus is extremely unpopular in Canada. It's hard to find in stores and when I do find it fresh, it costs me an arm and a leg. Spotted it for $3 a can today, and I thought I'd give it a go. Looks gross but I can't wait to try it :p

Spoiler

THE VERDICT: The marinade is oily. Tastes less like octopus and more like a stinky fish. Chewy texture. Won't buy again xD
