The Game Is Afoot!

Be aware that this is super early, I just want a few more eyes on it. You will lose your progress occasionally, when I make big updates to the workings of the site, but I will give you plenty of warning. A few Retired users have been playing today, and the site seems reasonably stable, so I'm going to expand the group a little.

There are only three real dungeons right now, but five maps to discover. Next to no images exist on the site, yet, although I may spend a little time today updating that part of the site. A lot of features are still in-progress or unimplemented. Be patient!

Oh, and don't do anything crazy like trying a load-test or similar ridiculousness - I'll just shut the server down

 
This thread is to register your interest in playing. If you'd like an account, post in the thread! It may help if you add why you want to play, but this isn't an application quiz. I'll pick some people to join the Retired crew tomorrow.

I'll play, i was mad it was going to be retired+ only . You were close to getting a strongly worded letter of complaint you know.

Things i've noticed so far:

• Would be nice to see my stats (especially health) on every page. I think when I click on my character it only shows current but not max health?
• Recipes require the ingredients in the correct order. Don't think that was intended?
• The only regeneration method is to make tea? Maybe add an inn or something

I'll add max health to the stat page and the combat bar. I don't think you need the rest of your stats on every page.

Tea is not the only health regen available

Ok, I found the fountain xD..

It's not really clear what happens when you die so I tried to avoid it at first.

 

If the correct order for crafting is intended I think there should be a bigger emphasis on it

Also, it would be nice if items can be sold at the store. Not sure if I'm asking for stuff that's already there at a later time like the fountain x.X

Edit: Meep, found the trader.. omg. Why did she appear just now?

 

Really like the concept of building up the map though~

I could add something to the FAQ about losing all your health. That's probably a very good idea, actually. I'll do that now.

 

I'll add a note to the workshop about following plans exactly

 

I literally only just added the Trader I wasn't sure how to do it until I came up with something that I think will work while I was falling asleep last night. It was always the plan to have that in there, though.

Oh, I should point this out:
Attempting to use items that don't yet do anything when used will not remove them from your inventory.

Don't be afraid to lose things like that, because it can't (shouldn't...) happen The same applies to items that can be used properly, but won't affect you right now.
And if it does, tell me, and I can revert it.
