There was an olllddd thread (http://www.neocodex....ing-or-plan-to/) and instead of gravedigging, I thought I would start a new topic.

I've noticed we've got quite a few "adults" here on this site.

What do you do for a living?

If you are in school, do you have a part-time job? What are you majoring in? What do you want to do in the future?

Basically how do you earn income to pay your bills? (Yea being an adult sucks!)

I'm unemployed at the moment  :crybaby: but I'm going back to school in June. I'm job searching, but I won't be able to find something right away because I'm going to see someone's (@Dan) smelly face for a whole month :p

Not for long, loserface <3

I am the office manager of an optometric practice.  I am slowly (very slowly) growing to love my position and my company, though it's been a hard road over the past year.  I've been in eye care for 10 years now, in managerial positions for 7, and I've never had a tougher position or worked with people that resisted authority and teamwork so strongly.

Boo I got ninja'd before I could say "we're all only here because we're unemployed"

I have various sources of income that don't involve having a job or doing anything illegal.

Various forms of gambling and a few odd bits here and there contribute to quite a cushy lifestyle.

I do a lot of cash in hand work here and there. I do a lot of freelance outdoor stuff as well.

It's been cold, which basically means apart from the odd ice climbing sessions in Scotland, I've had a lot of free time.

Summer's always good, I'll just go lurk in Wales, and float between centres I guess :)

Yung works a 'real' job to pay the bills and food and stuff. I focus on saving money instead of making it, but I do make money from selling neopoints, market research stuff, and sweeping.

I remember applying for my Canadian citizenship, it was a nightmare. Best of luck to you on that adventure :p

Pay the bills? Lol That's a good one and implies I actually make enough money to pay my bills.

But really, work 6-7 days a week. 2 jobs. 50-60 hours a week.

Still barely make enough to make ends meet. :(

Go to school part-time for a probably useless degree...

I wipe butts for free. My husband works full time as a Combat Engineer in the Canadian Forces to feed the mouths that make those dirty butts.

I'm a student, working on getting two worthless degrees. I heard it's the fashionable way to be unemployed.

I did a music degree and became an orchestral violinist for a while. Hated it and so now I work in PR & Marketing for a big concert venue in London and do a bit of violin-ing on the side so I can buy myself shiny trinkets.

The Boy works in Advertising and gets paid incredibly well for it so he's in charge of bills and other such grown up things.

I find comfort in the fact that I am not suffering alone in those departments.

I'm a lead technician in a pharmacy. Not a day goes by where I don't think, "I could just quit. Maybe starving won't be so bad." It isn't the patients. It isn't the insurance plans. It isn't the company I work for. It's the people I work with, the astonishing lengths they will go to just to avoid doing what they're getting paid to do, and the constant bitching about the same annoying things that happen every single day.
