Yo,
I'll cut to the chase. Just bought a sweet gaming laptop and need to set up for my wired xbox controller for the 360 to be used on it. Long story short, I've installed the drivers and the Laptop recognizes it as a new device, which is all really jolly. But it doesn't work. So I troubled shoot it and basically said I cannot use the wired USB in a USB Port 3.0 and has to be in a 2.0. Thing is, my laptop has four 3.0 ports but no 2.0s...

Any ideas?

I wouldn't have thought USB 3.0 -> 2.0 would be the problem, I thought the only difference was a reduced transfer rate.

Does this help?

Dan, triesd that, didn't work. I don't know if there's a particular controller to use but I have both wired and wireless.

It just seems weird the laptop acknowledges the controller but it won't actually work...
