I have tried getting the 'Mortog Smootch' avatar for a long time.
 

 <-- That elusive &@"&é!à) if anyone is interested and I think I might have found a strategy!

 

It doesn't always work and it took me a few tries too but hey it could be worth a shot!

 

The trick that managed to get me the avatar is : 1 1 2 4
That's all...

 

Play the game, click the 1st mortog.

If he transforms YAY, if he doesn't..try again!

If you collect your neopoints after that you get a spiffy little message saying you've collected the NP and got yourself an avatar!

Holy crap it worked! I had to redo it like twice before it gave me the avatar but YAY! Years of playing this POS game and now I no longer have to! Thanks @Liesa!

I've heard this theory for years, it has to be more than a coincidence. Thanks for reminding me though!

I used this theory to get mine awhile back but I think its a good way of rembering an order to pick and it just takes time for the right order to come in.

Huum. I did the 1, 1, 1, 1 to get mine. Toke me like 50 try but still... I did ear about that strategie before on the french side of Neopet.

I am like 99.99% sure it is random.

Tried it, and it worked though....

Tried the 1 1 2 4 and it took 16 tries but I finally got it.

I'm inclined to go with what Sweeney said in the Coconut Shy thread (major paraphrasing): "You don't seem to understand the definition of the word random."

 

Much as I like Liesa's theory (and the theories of everyone else that I've tried)...it's random.

 

 

Unless you're Dr. Spencer Reid (or his ilk). Then you might have some complicated equation for figuring it out. xD

There is no "trick" or secret code, it's just random. Or pseudorandom, anyways. You'll have as much luck keeping the same order as you would switching it up every time.

Actually you will have more 'luck' if you keep the same order and no it doesn't matter which order you pick just pick one and stick to it. You see if you change order continually or otherwise then instead of looking at the probability that the random order is never 1124 (or whatever order you pick) then you are looking at the probability that it happens to be the whatever random sequence you choose which would be .5*.333*.25*.2
