Ohhh what's this? Preparation for something new maybe? Only time will tell....

 

We're just putting the finishing touches on a couple of things before we actually bring it to life, but expect some cool news in the next couple of days!

 

Also coming soon, new products in the Store! You may recall receiving a PM/email from Hydrogen a while back asking your thoughts on what other types of products we could look into offering you from our Store. Well the results from your responses were tallied up and we decided to trial a new run of various game card codes for you all. This will be a short trial to see how it is received, then depending on the results, we may or may not look at adding them to the Store as a permanent thing

 

More details to come once myself and Hydro have ironed out the necessities!

 

For now, just a bit of a 'teaser' announcement of what is to come in the very near future.

The leader position is a sort of semi-pro. I'm not a full on staff member, but I have increased responsibilities.

Would you like to retain your Retired userbar? (Think of it as a 'perk' of being in a Leader role aka no one else who demotes themselves to Private from Retired will keep theirs).

No, the way multiple userbars work is that you need to be a part of those usergroups to display them. For example, I am technically the Admin of the site, but I was also a Retired Member before being on staff, so I like to be able to display that. Same as @Bulbasaur, he is an Advanced+ user AND on the Contest Team, therefore, he is able to display both sets of userbars. So on and so forth.

All good You're entitled to ask. Retired is generally the pinnacle of all ranks (besides Staff) here at Neocodex. It symbolises that you are well liked by the fellow 'established' members of the forum as well as having shown outstanding value to the forum as a whole. These days, the rank is used more as a 'catch up' for the older members of Codex who were around in the beginning but aren't as active/have lives to live outside of the forum. Mostly, it's a place for us old farts to rock on our rocking chairs whilst shoo-ing you young whipper-snappers off of our lawns!

 

Neocodex is registered as a business, yes, primarily due to the fact that we sell goods for USD in our store and to make us more professional in what we want to achieve. The only people who are paid are the Admins and primary shareholders of the business. The Moderators and 'Team Leaders' give their time for free, but it is greatly appreciated!

No, unfortunately, I don't think we allow people to buy shares in the company. @Hydrogen would be the one to clarify that.
