I can help out with some suggested workouts that I usually have my customers start off with and slowly build up. Everyone has different goals, some want to be able to run a 5k, others just lose XX amount of pounds and so forth. Let me know :)

We'll be posting tips to help and encourage each other. We have a member who is a certified personal trainer who will be giving advice when he has the free time. You'd be surprised at what just walking can do for you.

Also don't worry about your weight only you and I will know (like redlion stated you will be given a user number that only you will know), I am in no position to judge and the point is for a group of us to encourage each other to get healthy

I'll need the encouragement for sure, I'm already getting started, and I also want to gain muscle after weight is lost. This is a good start for me.

Suits me. It's that time if year where I cut 5 stone in 3 months so 12 weeks would be ideal.
May as well make some NP out of something I was going to do anyway :D

I'd love to participate. I can also contribute to the buy in with USD even if it's not necessary/required anymore.

You're on the wrong website then

Explain the non-NP prizes for other contests then?

Seeing as it's a food/exercise related contest, I would be willing to write a printable, personalized week-long meal plan with grocery list for x (x tbd based on how much time it looks like I'll have when this is over) amount of winners who forgo a Neopian prize. (personalized being allergies, daily calorie requirements, paleo/vegan/vegetarian/gf/dairyfree/whatever) If anyone would be interested in that kind of thing.

This sounds amazing Napi, these types of creative endeavours are exactly what people should be offering up as prizes.

Same here. I keep trying, get bored in 3 days, stop and then pick it up again months later and it repeats. I feel better knowing there are people here who will cheer me on! It's pretty neat seeing all the different occupations people have on here. (trainer, computer science, ect).

Also, I found the scale, it got moved from the bathroom t the guest room so we'd have more bathroom space.

People who want to enter with a $$ buy-in will be the only ones who can win from that $$ pot.

Everyone will be included in the NP pot.

Should we do a bit of a separate competition between Money and NP? Say User #13 ends as the Biggest Loser, they contributed to the $$ buy-in. Do they get both their $$ cut and the larger cut of NP or do people who enter $$ get only a participants winning part of the NP pot.

Does that even make sense? I'd like thoughts on this and feedback on how to divvy up the winnings.

The NP pot has been set, I'm waiting to see how many people enter to see if it'll be top 3 or top 5 and then every entrant gets a cut of the rest.

Well, it costs me nothing, not even time, to make np for prizes... It takes literally 5 seconds to press start and 5 minutes to actually send a prize to someone. Plus, this is a Neopets community.

Making meal plans is something I'm confident in though and all it costs for me is time for something people would pay for on websites.

I'm def not a world's strongest man, but I do have both civilian and military experience in personal training. Have my certified personal trainer cert from American Council on Exercise and recently went to an army school called Military Master Fitness School in South Carolina that allowed me to coach individual soldier who are struggling to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test.

Realistically, I'm about as small as I'm likely to be without giving up cheese and alcohol but I will readily cheerlead for participants!

Clean eating is such a winner. I don't stick to it religiously (mostly because I like wine too much) but adopted a lot more of the principles into my diet and the results have been amazing. Not so much weight loss for me but my energy levels went through the roof and I definitely feel a lot leaner. I can dig out a bunch of easy clean recipes if anyone wants?

Never underestimate how much of a difference upping your water intake can help as well. Partly because often people confuse dehydration and hunger, partly because switching soft drinks and fruit juice for water is one of the easiest calorie reductions going - mostly because people forget just how much sugar is in fruit juice. You can always add a few drops of lemon juice or something to add a bit of flavour if you really find water too dull.

I'm not sure how much nps we have but I think it'll be nice to have a weekly prize as well.

Some might get discouraged when they see someone pulling ahead and then they'd just give up near the end.

So, if they can't win overall.. they can still aim for the weekly prize.

I hope that made sense, I'm not the best at explaining myself.
