I will be posting food related stuff on my little blog as well and updating this page. I'm getting ready to writing up some stuff on meat and how to shop for different cuts/parts.

Wow that first post was a lot of information but glad I read it. I'm going to buy new spices since some of mine are quite old right now though I just use whatever herbs I have in my garden, fresh. :)

@Padme, Thank you so much for the feedback. I actually keep adding to that post, so keep posted. I'll be posting some stuff on meats soon.

First post was definitely very helpful. I learned to bake from my mother and consider myself pretty skilled at that, but cooking I feel I am only "ok" at. A friend of mine nearly fell out of his chair when he saw how I cooked pasta one day (he's Italian, so of course he knows the proper way to cook it) and taught me how to do it properly. Makes a world of difference.

 

And I to replenish my spices from the looks of things. :(

Italians take their pasta very seriously, that I can believe. =)
