I personally believe that it should be legal considering alcohol and tobacco (which incase you did not know are more harmful than marijuana) are already legal.

I don't like polls on debates. Especially the wrong kinds of poll.
But sure, marijuana should be legalised, taxed and sold like anything else.
I added a poll simply to see your guys opinions, and what do you mean the wrong kinds of polls?

The thread is to see opinions. This is the debate section - a list of yesses and nos does not a debate make.
And it's a multiple choice poll I could pick both yes and no.
Your right

To answer the question, of course marijuana should be legal. Why shouldn't it?

America is run by idiots. I just a couple of weeks ago went to drug court and faced 2 years in jail for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia so now i have to go to the phoenix house for 6 months instead of go to jail for 2 years.

Because everyone will have the opinion that it should be legalised and this topic has been done to do death so they'll be no counter argument.
fair enough only if doe was here to spark up a heated debate

Something tells me Doe wouldn't protest the legalization of marijuana.

I've smoked twice, just to try it, because I think debating it's legallity without actually trying it is kind of nonsensical.
The first time I was also drunk so I did not get the full effects. I don't remember being high.
The second time... Good lord, it was quite the experience. I just remember feeling very bubly and laughing a lot.
I honestly think if it can be regulated like alcohol or cigarettes, I don't see any reason for it not to be legalized. To my knowledge at this point, I don't know that there is much scientific evidence to show that there are bodily harming affects, long term. The short term affects are much less dangerous then those of alcohol.
I think what Colorado has done has taken a large step forward in the direction of full on legalization across the country.
I think that if it is eventually legalized, I will smoke it every now and then, just like with alcohol, I see no issues in moderation.

As someone who needs it for certain medical conditions [fuck everything i'm not delving that deeply into my personal life, you can just wonder forever what's wrong with me.]
It needs to be legalized everywhere, it's beneficial, you'll always have idiots abusing it, and saying it's things that it's not. In reality,it's healthy, and isn't going to make me deathly ill like other medicines/treatments I've had to endure.

Calling it now, erectile dysfunction.
Not at all, I'm only recently starting to become comfortable with mentioning certain problems I have.
However I don't feel like going into detail about them. I assure you however it is not erectile dysfunction or related to anything of a sexual nature.

Ah yes the elusive 4/20. It is very rare for it to occur two years in a row, if at all.

I'm fairly certain an abundant crowd will partake in such festivities next year as well.

I'm indifferent. I don't smoke anymore, and I don't plan to smoke again. It would help my friends that smoke if it was legal, sure, but weed also makes people lazy. Too many people I know fail their classes because they're too fucking lazy to go to them. If you can smoke weed, do your homework, go to class, and just actually do something then fine. Respect. If you don't then you don't need to be smoking.
Medical, sure. That's completely fine because it can actually help them.

The last time I smoked weed, it was laced with something (idk man they do some crazy shit in hawaii) and I was tripping balls all night long. I used to smoke it pretty frequently just to relax and help me sleep, but not since the last time (about 8 months ago).
I think it should be legal, I mean alcohol imo is way worse and that's legal.
