I was a senior tech. I got a paycut down to $14. I understand perfectly that I got ripped off, but honestly, it's worth it to me stress-wise. I've been looking for a way out of the pharmacy for months now. I was seriously considering stepping down to photos, but according to the district manager, I COULD NEVER be a tech EVER EVER AGAIN, and I didn't like the idea of flushing my certification down the toilet. This works out just fine for me because the company will continue to pay for my continuing education.
Do you have to be certified in Illinois to go in the pharmacy?
All I had to to do was sign up online for a license and then I have 2 years to take some test to become "officially" certified. With the online signup thing you still get a license.
