Hello all as a competitive Yugioh player I thought I'd create a page incase anyone else here also played the game. We can talk about the meta, upcoming sets, who's all going to nationals (I have my invite but work might prevent me from going).

I can't afford to play yugioh.

I understand I've spent like $180 already on the set that just came out a week ago (but it had a archtype that I really wanted to play).

I used to watch the TV show after school but that was the extent of my involvement with the game :p

The game is a lot different than the TV show (the show basically created its own rules to help make it appealing). Basically now days a competitive yugioh player will go to regionals and Yugioh Championship Series (or YCS for short). If your curious you can search yugioh decks 2014 on Youtube and it'll bring up some helpful videos.

A teacher threw away my $300 Elemental Heroes deck.

I quit after that.

Sadly I lost $20 this past weekend in a stakes match against this kid, had the nerve to tell me where I went wrong afterwards (I gotta stop half assing it)

This is a bit nostalgic for me. I never had enough money to get the actual cards but I sunk a lot of time into the Yu-Gi-Oh world championship games a few years ago.

I got a whole ton of cards on ebay for $13, and there's tons of rare cards and (rare) first editions in there. They're worth way more than $13. Best $13 I ever spent. I have a deck myself, but I no longer really play or collect the cards.

I've got a couple of the old gameboy games as well, but I really no longer play those either.

If they ever gonna release a Yugioh game i might buy it

because playing with the actual cards can be fun but they cost a hell lot of money, where 1 game cost 40/60 bucks in which you can try different kinds of builds and play a lott more games than in real life

Still a shame the AI computers are stupid to play against and less exiting than real life games but still its cheaper 1000x
