I still don't like how only 13 year old accounts are the ones able to get the trophy 

 

It helps, but you don't need to have a really old account to trophy. You need to make risky bets and win enough times in the eight days you're betting. This person got gold this month, and their account is only six years old: http://www.neopets.c...l?user=_jochen_

My account is over 10 years so I am betting over 75000 per day which amounts to betting 2.25 million per month. With hugos bets I would normally AT LEAST double, so I would make around 4.5 million a month, or 2 million profit.  That includes many days of just barely getting my NP back, or days that end up like 18:10 odds where I don't make much at all. Over the last 10 days or so going with the risky bets, I have had days with winnings between 500k and 1 million, so I am sticking with the riskier bets for the time being. Hopefully that answers your question! How risky people tend to bet normally corresponds with how much NP they have to throw away, and since all of the cheaters here at Codex should have a lot to get rid of, there's no reason not to bet as risky as possible, so long as there remains a slight chance of it being profitable.

 

EDIT: Over the last 2.5 months I have bet just at 5.5 million NP and I have won 10 million NP, for whatever it's worth.

I bet on an account that is nine years old and one that is 14 years old. 14 year old account is not my main though, so I never try to trophy there; just another outlet for making NP.

I just bet on my main (over 9 years) to make NP... haven't tried to trophy for a while just out of laziness. But I have made around 14M in the last year--and that's with missing a lot of betting days. It's been nice Aged account do have some legitimate benefits.

Holy wow that's still pretty gross. My main account is nearly 4 years. My previous main, while 12, suffers from the 'I was 13 when I made this' naming syndrome, so I want very little to do with it anymore. Eugh. :c

It seems every day I decide to go with low risk, the high always does well. I can bet around 7700 NP per, or 77k total.
