Just finished Persona 5, like, last week. Def wanna check the anime out when it comes out. Large parts of the game already felt like an anime while playing it lol.

I haven't actually finished the game... I played it while bed bound after some major surgery and haven't touched it since XD
The parts I did play - which was up to the second-last dungeon - were amazing... I should really pick it up again, but it reminds me of being so sick that it's kinda hard to get back into

You might miss some tidbits about who each character is since the anime always rushes through character development. You'll get the gist of everything though.

I was watching Persona 5 a little while ago, but it felt really rushed. I found myself having more fun watching people Let's Play the game.

 

As for Anime to watch, have you seen AnoHana? I thought that one was pretty good, but you better be ready to cry.

Assassination classroom. Despite the name it's actually a heart-warming story. The characters are great and I really enjoy seeing they grow and develop relationships with each other.

K-ON was a nice one!

Some of my faves are a bit obscure.

 

My biggest fave is still Cowboy Bebop for various reasons, ranging from the well-planned plot, the characters, the themes, the amazing music etc. And that's not obscure, of course. I also liked Evangelion, well what I watched of it anyway.

 

But I also like Scrapped Princess, a lesser known Bones studio anime; Melody of Oblivion, a lesser known Gainax mindscrew-style anime. And also I, My, Me! Strawberry Eggs as a well-done anime on the theme of crossdressing (I like dis theme, what can I say).

Goblin Slayer is a solid choice, I keep seeing people getting pissed about it, but it's actually pretty great. 

It's an ok fantasy anime, and enjoyed the on the nose D&D references and GS' one track mindedness, but I wouldn't call it great.
