I just watched Shiki about two weeks ago, I agree about the drawing style. I almost dropped it within the first minute. I thought the story was good though and it made you think.

I'm watching Chihayafuru right now and I love it! :o Anyone that likes Bakuman would like it, I think.

I was so distressed about the Shiki :(

My favorite anime has to be Fairy Tail! All the characters are so well fleshed out and all have really good background stories to them.

I'm extremely picky when it comes to anime, but usually like it if it's dark/supernatural. My favorites are Hellsing Ultimate, Highschool DxD(First season only), Rosario + Vampire was an obsession of mine during my teens, Fullmetal Alchemist, Blood Plus, and Ghost Hunt.

Currently into Attack On Titan.

I'm currently watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's pretty funny. Okay really funny.

But I can't get over the fact that the main character (~16) is voiced by the same actor as Togusa (~40) from Ghost in the Shell.

My favorite are Naruto Shippuden and Gintama! Naruto because it is a beautiful story that I have the patience to enjoy. (many fillers blah) and Gintama because it has me laughing every time and I don't have to invest any attention in it to enjoy.

I haven't watched anime in a little while but last year I watched Spice and Wolf, Psycho-Pass, and Attack on Titan. They're all pretty great, I loved them. I started SAO but never finished. I felt sorry for everyone who died since they died IRL :(. My friend recommended Tokyo Ghoul but I only watched the first episode with him, maybe it's not my cup of tea. Edit: Oh yeah, he mentioned No Game No Life as well, but I haven't even touched it either...so lazy. Maybe I should try the next season of Spice and Wolf.

10 years ago I could have provided a list a mile long. Since then I just haven't watched anime nearly as often as I used to.

Not enough time, weed, or interest I guess. (IDK) confused-smiley-013.gif

Rather watch tokusatsu than anime half the time, too.

But let's see... if we went with favorites OF ALL TIME then... hmm 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

In no particular order...

  • Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki
  • Armitage III
  • .hack//SIGN
  • Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory
  • Outlaw Star
  • Silent Mobius
  • The Big O
  • Sailor Moon S
  • Ronin Warriors
  • Gundam Wing
  • Shuffle!
  • YuYu Hakusho
  • Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam

Not necessarily favorites, but currently watching with the missus (all first time for her, some 2nd+ times for me): Naruto Shippuden, Sailor Moon Crystal, Sword Art Online I & II, Tokyo Ravens, Beelzebub, Trigun (again), Witch Hunter Robin (again), G Gundam (again), Lucky Star, Log Horizon, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, and... a few other things but Crunchyroll isn't loading properly for me to double check. Think there was one called Bodacious Space Pirates or something like that?  :lol2:  Good times, good times...

Crap, now I feel like marathoning a few things before the next semester starts.

I feel that way too. It's been years and years.

(Kicking it way back)

oldschool Bubblegum Crisis & Tokyo 2040

Gunsmith Cats

Sailor Moon

Chobits

Hellsing

Elfen Lied

Claymore

I'm currently revisiting Sailor Moon with my two year old. :)

edit: my brain said Hellsing but my fingers typed Hellscream. wowproblems.

How is the original Bubblegum Crisis?

I somehow ended up watching 2040 (LOVED it btw) only to realize their was a prequel series.

Still haven't gotten around to watching it though.  :lol2:

Have you seen Crystal yet? Sooooo good. Not a huge fan of the characters' designs (getting used to them at least), but like how it's more true to the manga and has less "filler".

Think we're only nine-ish episodes in and Vanus is about to appear.

Can't wait for the Dark Moon Arc, and even more excited if/when they get to Neptune/Uranus/Saturn. Heard the manga, and therefore Crystal should, tend to start getting dramatically different around the time "S" starts.
