Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood because the entire series is dark and explores themes like death, friendship, political corruption, etc. Also, the first time I watched it I accidentally fell in love with Alphonse. I've rewatched this like 8 times total lmao. 

Ouran Highschool Host Club because it's so hilarious (both the Japanese and dub versions are great). It was weird watching the dubbed version at first because the voice actor that plays Ed from FMAB plays Tamaki and the voice actor that plays Winry from FMAB plays Haruhi. The breaking of the fourth wall and jokes translated fairly well though, but you kind of need to pay attention or you miss some of the humor. 

I really enjoyed Sword Art Online. It reminded me of something else I saw once a long time ago but I can't remember what. The only thing I didn't really like was the overall level progression because it went too fast imo, but that was a minor detail. I haven't seen the second one yet, but it's on my list of things to watch.

I just started Fairy Tail and I like it so far (going between that and Game of Thrones).

My friends and I just recently watched My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia together and it's adorable.

I honestly thought I wouldn't really care for it since I'm not into hero-esque animes but I've ended up liking a lot of the cast and it's kinda heartwarming...

Castlevania was awesome. Very confusing beginning but afterwards, I got addicted to it. The only other vampire show I watch was Seraph of the End (on Hulu). 

 

Other current favorites: My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia), Fairy Tail (Excited for the last anime arc, although the manga ending was horrible), One Punch Man, Digimon Tri, and Bleach (Crappy ending)

I was gonna post this before reading the last posts

 

I started watching HxH this week and I'm loving it a lot! The second arc was a little slow, but I just got to the third and it's great!

I decided to re-watch Neon Genesis Evangelion from start to finish over my holidays. I finished the series, but not the movies yet.

 

Holy cow, that was a trip I forgot I took when I was in high school.

Back before I watched Brotherhood, Shamballa was my jam. I'm a sap for good endings and OTPs, though, so after I watched FMA:B I thought the original ending to the series was incredibly selfish.

Angel Beats just kinda hits you at the end after being majorly a comedy through most of the series. It really should have got 26 episodes and not 13. It's pretty rushed.

 

So.. three years later and I finally watched Angel Beats! I now understand what you mean by it feeling rushed for 13 episodes. Would've been great it they had some OVAs or movies that showed some things that weren't part of the original. It was quite enjoyable though and I'd watch it again for sure. 

 

Last year I saw Your Name, that was really good as well.

There's a VN now coming out* for it that might have a better spread out plot.

I'm watching FMA right now, I watched brotherhood first but I never finished it. It's a good one.
