The dentist looks like a serial killer anyway.
Thank god you said it. I've been wanting to post this since yesterday but I didn't know if I should (I don't know why I had such reservations lol).
Once I saw his face I was like "uh, this guy looks like is capable of killing every single one of his neighbors' pets, why the hell no one noticed is a psycho yet? And he's married? With kids??? "

I don't have a problem with people who hunt overpopulated animals or hunt to sustain themselves. I do however have a problem with old ass, rich ass bored people who drop thousands of dollars to shoot an endangered animal and skin it to bring back home and show off to their equally old, bored and rich friends.

Yes. Tell that to the dimwitted asshole that posted a status on Facebook that said "If you can't point out Zimbabwe on a map, you shouldn't be too upset that they lost a lion".
I want to comment on it, but clearly he's too dumb to understand why killing an endangered species is an issue or why a rich prick doing it illegally to show off to his friends makes it even worse.

I think what really makes him evil is that he knows what he is doing is wrong and does it anyway.
But I hope you're right because.... stupidity is easier to cope with than malicious actions.

I haven't read much on the Cecil story, but I can sorta see the dentist's side, only the aspect of he thought he was doing everything legally. That having been said, lions are slowly being taken over (humans aren't the main cause, but they sure aren't helping. Neither is infanticide. stupid lions) and they shouldn't be hunted imo. Animals that aren't in danger of extinction I am ok with hunting (though I am not a hunter myself, never found it even remotely appealing) as long as the majority of the animal is used (ie, not just as a trophy, or for tusks or what have you).
EDIT: I just read more. I originally thought he paid a guide and the guide took him hunting, not that he bribed a park worker. Well, he lost all my sympathy there...

I have no problem with hunting as long as it's not endangered or in any danger zone. And as long as it's humane/legal. Of course, I think it'd be better if we did bowhunting only for sportsmanship, but that's me.

My dad is/was a hunter. When I was a child we used to live in this small village on a valley surrounded by the Andes Cordillera. My dad had always been keen on hunting and he would hunt deer and we would eat it as a daily basis. He has always taught me how hunting animals is not something just for fun, but more like a human practice. He also told me that he only hunted animals which were not even near being in danger of extintion.
I don't think I would ever hunt an animal, but I'm not horrified by the idea.
