I feel like this deserves a backstory.
I made some Gordan Ramsey style bomb ass Instant Quaker Oatmeal, microwave for 1:00 and all. Got it out and proceeded to make my way from the kitchen to the living room to enjoy coffee, oatmeal breakfast of the Quaker Gods, and Netflix Bill Nye. Problem is, I never made it to the living room due to 2 oafs of the furry kind deciding to bob and weave between my feet to play. Long story short, I trip over fat oaf, oatmeal goes EVERYWHERE, and they proceed to run over and bat at the oatmeal coated carpet. It took 20 minutes to clean. . .

TIL:
The source of the word sand: Old English sand, from Proto-Germanic *sandam (source also of Old Norse sandr, Old Frisian sond, Middle Dutch sant, Dutch zand, German Sand), from PIE *bhs-amadho- (source also of Greek psammos "sand;" Latin sabulum "coarse sand," source of Italian sabbia, French sable), suffixed form of root *bhes- "to rub."

An inverse relationship exists between the price and meat quality of American lobsters. I.e. the more expensive lobsters are also the ones which have the least sweet meat, interestingly enough: https://en.wikipedia...Lobster#Grading

When used as an adjective, it used to mean that the person could control destiny. For example, the Fates were called the "Weird Sisters".
