Of course, those curled tails are a signature sign of a kougra.

SPF doesn't stack.

So If I just put on 20 layers of spf 2 tanning lotion, that doesn't mean I am wearing spf 40? I'm getting cancer for sure.

That is correct. Just get vitamin d and quit slathering yourself in carcinogenics and you'll be ok.

The Washington Monument is hollow.

Mt Mckinley got renamed.

I'm obviously having an educational day.

Today I Learned: The 8 richest people in the world own as much as the poorest half of the entire world.

In contrast, just last year (2016), the richest 62 people owned as much as the poorest half of the world.

Today I learned that my friend's cat really doesn't like shoes, and 1 inch foam boards are definitely not thick enough to use as targets for throwing knives.

Today I learned I've been spelling Connecticut incorrectly my whole life.

How I've been spelling it -> Conneticut

How it's really spelled -> Connecticut

Where did that extra 'c' come from, and why is it silent?!

/kəˈnɛtɨkət/  said to be from Mohican (Algonquian) quinnitukqut "at the long tidal river," from *kwen- "long" (spelling due to confusion with connect) + *-ehtekw "tidal river" + *-enk "place."

So I guess the answer is people in Connecticut can't spell.

Today I learned that my friend's cat really doesn't like shoes, and 1 inch foam boards are definitely not thick enough to use as targets for throwing knives.

Was there ever a doubt in your mind that a thin hunk of foamboard was going to stop a knife from going through and missing up the wall?

Today I learned how enthusiastic young children really are about their birthday. I was unaware that type of enthusiasm for turning a year older still existed in this world...

TIL that during the prohibition in America, doctors were able to prescribe a certain kind of liquor to someone; very similar to what happens today in states where medical marijuana is legal.

Nifty!
