Got an idea for an award that you just can't get out of your head? This is the thread where you'll be able to make suggestions! 

 

Guidelines: 

- Private+ only can make and submit awards for approval at this time. So if you're not quite Private+, you can still make suggestions but you won't actually be allowed to make or submit an actual award.. Better apply for Private!

 

- Please give reasoning and/or requirements for the award you are suggesting rather than just a name.

 

- Exclusive awards are for staff only at this time so those suggestions will not be considered.

 

- Please try to keep joke suggestions to a minimum (Basically, don't do it or it's off with your head!)

There should be an award for someone who has supplied/supplies a prize for a contest, maybe around 500k (or FR equivalent) minimum? And perhaps like the other awards it could be tiered: Supplied 1 prize, 10 prizes, 25 prizes, 50 prizes, etc.

 

It would reward/encourage people to provide prizes for the many contests Codex has.

Maybe we can have an award when a member welcomes a (certain amount of) new members? It's always nice to have lots of warm welcomes.

That point has been brought up in the discussion and we just need to decide on benchmarks for what criteria one "donation point" entails and how many of those donation points are required for the tiered awards.

We could have two categories. One category would be for money items (this could be vouchers to Neocodex, currency, gift cards, different RL items that could be sent or something, etc.) and another could be for virtual goods.

I already told you my suggestion but I will post it here as well. 

I believe there should be awards for trading feedback obtained.

For example:

5 Positive Feedback = Beginner Trader
15 Positive Feedback = Junior Trader
30+ Positive Feedback = Golden Trader

Or whatever you guys think is more appropriate. 

I just think utilizing the feedback feature is something people really haven't given much thought to, but some people have made a crap ton of trades via Codex and it's a huge part of the community. Why not reward those trustworthy, notable traders, with a little award?

 

I definitely like this idea as well. And as far as the prizes/donations go, I like the idea of two different awards as it would encourage you to donate various types of prizes.

Thing like tournaments, scavenger hunts, and contests.

 

Level 1 is for 1-5 entries.

Level 2 is for 5-10 entries

Level 3 is for 10+ ?

 

Kind of an ultimate participation trophy.

I agree with this idea. It may get more people to participate or send in entries for various events, which would bring about more competition and activity.
