Yup. Confirmed features as of right now are

 

• Second Circle Nub

• Slighty Bigger Screen

• ZL and ZR

• Better 3D that can be viewed from the sides

• Micro SD Support

• Better Browser

• Moar Ram

• Faster CPU (Some games can only be played on the New 3DS such as Xenoblade)

• Auto Brightness adjust like in phones/tablets

• Wireless PC file transfer to SD card and such

• Built in Amiibo

• SFC Buttons

• Customized menu and themes (Will come in an update for older systems thank god)

• Faceplates (for smaller 3DS)

• Bunch of shit rearranged for some reason, i;e Card Slot at the bottom, Stylus at the bottom etc.

I dunno how I feel about this. They fixed all my complaints about the 3DS XL but...money is money.

Seems like this will cannibalize future WiiU sales.

I have the original and now.... New 3D's only games?

However, the stylus at the bottom makes me feel like it'll fall out more. (If you lost the original stylus and are using a replacement, those don't tend to fit perfectly).

If the extra processing power means we'll get more games like Xenoblade, I'm 100% okay with it.

But it's like having to buy a whole new system... they could've just as easily called it something completely different than the 3ds and preached "reverse compatibility"

 

at least when the PSP gets it's six different versions released they can all play the same games

I was literally about to get a 3DS XL last week...glad I held off.

 

As I've not been a DS user, I'm not sure what issues were addressed by the new releases, but all I want to play is Pokemon, so that shouldn't really be a problem

Currently they haven't announced any plans for a North American release for the rest of this year. So unless you want to wait until they, at the very least, announce release plans I wouldn't hold out on getting an older model if there's games you want to play.

Well, I've waited this long to play *any* Pokemon version on DS, I can wait a little longer Will probably have to see if the local stores here drop prices on the older models, which no doubt they will, in time. I can live with that xD Thanks for the heads up though!
