As soon as I get home from doing the work/school runs this morning, we will be offline for a hardcore backup and an update.

Then we will be go for BUNNIES!

Edit: I am now home! Unpacking groceries, and then THE UPDATE.

Edit edit: 1.8 Server is on-fucking-line :D

Plenty of time to think about what to do when you can get online :p

I've had a quick whizz around after the update, and now I'm afking at the gold farm to work towards our first beacon pyramid. Ocean monuments are definitely generating in some of our explored deep ocean chunks, which is awesome (although all our ocean is freaking miles away from spawn). Rabbits work, spectator mode works, new doors, fences, etc all seem to work.

I'm thinking of building the slime elevator from the Spawn portal up to the void.

They seem to be pretty common in deep ocean ^^ Only there, though, they don't spawn in regular ocean.

Pretty easy from above the water. Very easy from above if you drink a night vision potion.
Visibility underwater, though, is much more limited.

Found one whilst 'boating' around Mushroom Isle, but, now I'm infected by that fucking ghost Elder Guardian and can't mine until I kill all three of them inside the monument -_-

It will wear off if you leave the area of the temple or drink some milk ^^

Not sure why it wouldn't wear off O_o When you're near the guardians, the effect refreshes every minute, but away from them it should wear off. If you open your inventory, it should show you how long until it expires. The effect is called "Mining Fatigue".

In other news, Cristen and I took down the first Ocean Monument on the server tonight! YEAH!
Too busy being swarmed with Guardians to take screenshots though, I think :p Those things are a freaking nightmare.

Server-wide teleportation system is active! Currently, the only teleport locations are at Spawn and in the Mushroom Island. I'll add more when you want :p

The cost is one level per teleport to the Hub - teleporting out of the hub is free. You must also have a minimum of five levels to use the system. All subject to change, of course.

We also have an ETP item, now - an Emergency Teleporter, that you can throw on the ground to summon. It takes up a 3x3x5 area, though, so watch where you drop it! These can be purchased in the Hub for 30 levels each - and still follow the level requirements for the other teleporters. They are single use, and one-way.

Go, play with them :p
