Ray Rice wins appeal of his suspension, is eligible to play for any NFL team.

Apparently you can knock your wife out, drag her around, step on her, etc. and it's still totally cool for you play football. The fact that sports players are almost immune to any punishment sickens me.

I'm hoping that the teams are smart enough not to hire him. Sadly, it's probably false hope.

They may not. It depends on the owners and the coaches, I guess. There are a lot of teams that wouldn't want to go near that but others may. I mean, they took Michael Vick back. They take back other NFL members who have been arrested for domestic abuse. Who knows.

Like getting punched in the face, or having your eye scratched out. I guess those are options.

It deeply disturbs me that you are a cop and can literally think of no other way to restrain an weaponless woman other than punching her in the face. :p

You've never been in a violent situation, have you?

You mean in an argument with my boyfriend that is so intense he decides to punch me in the face?

Also asking me, a civilian, if I've ever been in a violent situation isn't really relevant or can be compared to how you, a policeman with years of training, would react.

That's because basic training cannot take away the basic fight or flight reaction stage.

What I learned from this thread: Frizzle is a shitty cop.

But seriously. I don't care who is the bigger person. If you are aware that you can easily overpower the other person you subdue them. You do not attack back. Especially when that other person is your partner. What I see is them both having anger problems. And knowing domestic violence I highly doubt this is the first incident or the last for either person. But the, "They started it!" excuse didn't work in kindergarten and it doesn't work now.
