Is anybody else as excited for this as I am?? I loved Alpha Centauri and Civ games in general so I can't wait to play this. I've been watching gameplay videos constantly lol. Release date is set for October 24th

I'm very excited. I just hope the multiplayer is as good as it was in Civ 5. 

 

While it's a great game to play alone I felt it was most fun when I was able to crush my significant other...

My fiancee and I will probably get it then play it till I win like five times in a row. She hates how I study into games. I tend to feel bad when I win.

I just saw this on steam when I logged in; so very tempting! Maybe I'll try the game before I buy it.

Oh cool! Is it much different to civ5?

 

I heard that it doubled in price since its release. We may wait around a little while for the price to cool off again lol.

So far it's the same general format as Civ5 but with all new tech trees, etc etc. All of the cool features of the Civ5 expansions / DLC is baked in too.

Also I bought it on Steam for £29.99 - it was £10 off. That's pretty cheap for a game nowadays.

I played it for like an hour today, I enjoyed it so far! I'm a huge fan of Firaxis, they're one of the few game companies I'll buy just about anything from.

Even though it is similar to Civ 5, it's different in some good ways. If you enjoyed Civ 5 you should definitely try it out.

haha Civilization has the tendency to steal your time hey, sometimes in full days lol.

I'm really enjoying it, I've clocked about 14 hours, and won once through Transcendance.

I find it's best if you leave the aliens alone

They should have kept the luxury system from 5

I haven't played either game, but I like the game play as much as I like any Civ game.
