I saw a rumor on the boards that the duplication glitch may be back? Can anyone corroborate?

yup, a bunch of things have been duped

soreifs, maractite draik mp, pde, mbomb, wotdf and more i think

That sucks. I hope they didn't dupe my nest egg item (won't post it for fear of the dupe!)

Is there anyway to protect myself from buying these?

im pretty sure the dupe glitch has been patched

it was an issue with the gallery i believe

 

so all thats happening now is the user or users who duped a bunch of stuff keep sending them through auctions really cheap, they are getting iced pretty quickly now though

Noooooo I dont want my items to drop more in price! I saw that it was a dupe with adding an item in your gallery and it will add two instead of one. Some on posts that on the I trading post memo.

I accidentally duped a worthless item. I had no idea or intentions of doing so I removed the item from my account. I hope I dont get frozen !!!

I saw all the rumors and wish I could have moved on this glitch quicker. Duplicating M-Bombs sounds overly risky since cove items only release in a certain amount. But if we could duplicate harder to track items (Items released in large amounts like dubloons) and secure them this would be epic! I saw a few duplicated WoDFs in the auctions but those users were shut down very quick, I can see why the radar spotted them LOL!

They'll have to just rollback the servers. You can't just delete items or freeze people with duped ones anymore, not when items are converted to pure, placed into albums, etc. Joke of a site.

Perhaps the method you're trying isn't working but the method I've just used definitely does...I obviously won't be exploiting it for profit though, not how I roll

I'd love to elaborate what works/doesn't but I'm not sure whether staff is ok with it at the moment since it crosses that line between "harmless trading" and "illegit exploits."
