I know a ton of us are of working age sooooo....where do you work?

I currently work at a cellphone retailer. My day usually consists of reddit and dealing with stupid people who don't know how to increase the brightness on their phone.

What about you guys? What does your day consist of?

I work in PR for an arts venue in London, which as of very recently I do on a sort of weird remote consultancy basis because my husband's job now is in Paris. I used to spend most of my time lunching and drinking with journalists and occasionally writing the odd press release. Now I do more writing and strategy work and fit it in around my own writing and violin practice.

Used to be a orchestral violinist which was godawful but I still do some soloist and quartet work to make extra money for shiny things.

I work for an Engineering Firm/satellite office and do payroll and billing for 4 different companies. I basically sit on my ass all day and talk to people in TC while plunking away at my computer.

I'm batman

The other day I asked Braden what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said Batman. His little brother had the more realistic goal of being a Fire Fighter. lol
Perhaps you have some tips I can pass on to him?

I graduated with a degree in engineering.

I make sketches with the CAD equivalent of an etch-a-sketch on how to repair spinny-bits that help keep your lights lit across America.

I am a Superior Court Clerk. Sometimes I sit in court and write down judgments, dismissals, continuances, etc. Other times I am entering in information off of various daily court room dockets. I also have a weekly report of anywhere from 1000-1500 people who have missed court and I notify the DMV of their Failure to Appear and they are given 20 days to make an appearance or settle up monetarily with the courts or have their license revoked.

I have changed jobs since that last thread. Now I am the director of operations of a medical education institute. I spend most of my time designing courses, fiddling with the website, and teaching classes. I also handle all of the certifications of the employees in the umbrella of companies I belong to. Two days a week I work in the clinic assisting the doctor who owns my company.

As a former unemployed college student, I know your pain.
Good luck getting the job!!!!!

May I ask what you studied in school?
I personally would love to get into that area of work.

I work for Jaguar/Land Rover as an engineer now. If you'd asked me 4 months ago, I'd have told you I was a bum who'd accomplished nothing with my life.

I'm in school so I work part time being a key holder at a shoe store =)

It isn't bad, I've been there for 2 1/2 years? ish?

Retail is a great motivator to not drop out of university.

My mate does the exact same thing in the same company :p. Got an apprenticeship with Jag/Land Rover and he became one of the top apprentices in England, and even almost got a job at Ferrari because of it. So work hard and you might be off to Ferrari :p
