One US gallon is equal to ~3.8L, so the UK price is about $8.17/gallon (USD). You guys have it easy

 

Yeah I did the conversion and thought surely that can't be right. I guess I'll shut my mouth and enjoy my $2.99 while it lasts.

Gas it's like $5,7/gallon (USD) here.

I got a DWI so I don't have to pay for gas since I don't have a car :-)

 

...but I do put some in my gfs tank I think gas here in Texas is like $2.91

We really do have it easy. The reason U.S. gas is so cheap is because the government subsidizes a huge amount to oil companies, which is actually not good in the long run. If the gas prices were at their not-subsidized prices in the U.S., it would lead to less consumption of oil, thus lowering CO2 emissions and preserving limited stashes of fossil fuels.

Or because the U.S. doesn't tax the piss out of it.

 

For reference, one of the highest taxed states when it comes to gasoline has the cost breakdown of a gallon of as available here.

Today I saw gas under $3/gal for the first time since I dont even know when! I was so excited!!! (its $2.98/gal currently in my area) It made me so happpyyyyyyy

 

Also, idk that I ever posted in this board, and for those that dont know//if its not completely obvious from my avatar, I'm a hair stylist. ^.^

I work at a Spa & Salon. We offer massage therapy, skin care, waxing, nail care and hairrrrr swag.

I remember complaining when gas was getting close to being $2/gal. I think it was like $1.78 or so? and I was like "ITS SOO MUCH!" xD Now I'd love to see that. hahaha
