Why is it that every teenager who grew up in the 90s knew this song (seriously like everyone), and then the band just kind of...disappeared? Still my embarrassing favorite:

What exactly classifies as a one-hit-wonder? I always thought it meant that they only made one song. But I've seen plenty of examples of artists that have had more songs, Is it that they only had one super hit then and their other songs were 'meh'? I'll go with that lol. I guess it also depends on what country you're from.
This for example; LeAnn Rimes. She might have been more popular in America? But Can't Fight the Moonlight is the only song we knew here.

Some may argue it isn't one but it's on most lists

Some Dutch guys set up to make a one-hit wonder, and they did exactly that.

It's when a band/singer has only one very popular hit song. I don't know any bands that have made just one song, but it would be impressive if anyone was truly a one song wonder.

Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne:
A group called PMJ recently made an awesome cover of it, featuring Casey Abrams an AI 10 contestant.

I shall gravedig my own topic.
Lips of an Angel is not a one hit wonder. They've got plenty of other hits. Lips of an Angel is a whole different discussion topic, and I hear some people play that at their weddings, which happens to be pants-on-head retarded if you do so...
Edit: Did not realize I already pulled the gravedigger (With the monster truck and all). I am so sorry for trying to make this happen. I'd have a better chance of making "Fetch" happen.

Don't let it die! Think not enough people can appreciate the brilliance that is the one hit wonder is all... or something like that...
