What does your Thanksgiving (or other similar food holiday) meal usually consist of?

For Thanksgiving I'm going to be with my girlfriends family and it just occurred to me that what they eat is probably not close to what my family normally has for Thanksgiving. So now i'm curious as to what other people have as their standard Thanksgiving meal.

My Thanksgiving meal (We have it at lunch):

turkey (duh)

giblet gravy

white rice

corn

green bean casserole

sweet potato casserole

ham

flaky buttermilk biscuits

beets

deviled eggs

dressing (aka stuffing)

some sort of fruit

sweet tea

lemonade

pecan pie and some sort of cake for dessert

Two staple foods.

Turkey and Cranberry sauce. I love the canned stuff.

Sometimes we will make sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top. Where you put it in the oven for a long time and it gets sweet (it's really awesome.)

I'm going home for Thanksgiving so the food is primarily what my parents make.

Probably a noodle soup of some kind, spicily marinated chicken or Boston Market Take out (we're not American enough for Turkey :p), and fried Tilapia. The best reason why my parents don't cook much is because we go through at least 2 different Thanksgiving parties before raiding the mall for Black Friday.

Turkey + Mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie.  All enjoyed while watching the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys lose.

We refer to this as sweet potato casserole although we have a layer of crushed pecans between the potatoes and marshmallows to give it a crunch

We don't have Thanksgiving.

Similar food type holiday?

All I need for my Thanksgiving to be completely is turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green bean casserole. My family members can have all those other foods.

For Christmas: I don't like turkey so we have salmon as well, chicken, potatoes, rice, lots and lots of veggies, some sort of soup, pasta, and then dessert - ice cream, jelly, cake, lots of cake.

Well I'm currently out of the country. But all of us Americans like to get together for a potluck. Someone always makes turkey and stuffing, then everyone else makes whatever. Ends up being quite enjoyable

The reality is I focus on the mashed potatoes.

I eat more mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving and subsequent days (leftovers) than I do the rest of the year combined.
